The Spoons were an integral part of the Ready Records family and their history is well represented on both volumes of "The Best Of Ready", but they were only a part of the story. In listening to all 24 tracks captured on this collection it becomes apparent what an eclectic label Ready Records was; punk, reggae, electronica, blues, jazz, new wave, metal, salsa and pop. Ready Records was one of Canada's most important and influential independent record labels and "The Best Of Ready" is a long overdue testament to that legacy.
